Aljadaan: decisive financial policies bolster sustainability

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan affirmed that decisive financial policies play a crucial role in bolstering resilience and sustainability.

The minister made these remarks during the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan (MENAP) Ministers and Governors Meeting held on the sidelines of the 2024 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) that takes place in Washington D.C., from 15 to 20 April 2024.

Aljadaan also participated in the first session of the 2nd G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting where he noted that effective climate action requires a holistic approach by integrating diverse sectors recognizing the diversity of solutions to address climate challenges, including using innovative technologies to manage emissions.

It is worth noting that the minister held a meeting with Jean Lemierre, Chairman of BNP Paribas, Laurent Leveque, Global Head of Official Institutions Coverage, and Alexis Taffin, Head of Debt Capital Markets to showcase progress made in the Kingdom and discuss topics related to attracting investment and alternative financing.
