ADNOC Gas pens $500-700m LNG supply deal

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: ADNOC Gas has inked a multi-year liquified natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with JERA Global Markets, a trading subsidiary of JERA Company, according to a press release.

The deal, which is valued between $500 million (AED 1.80 billion) and $700 million (AED 2.50 billion), backs the UAE group’s position as a global LNG export partner of choice.

Ahmed Alebri, CEO of ADNOC Gas, indicated that the partnership underline their “shared commitment for advancing sustainability in the energy sector and supporting a reliable and cleaner energy future for Japan and beyond.”

Kazunori Kasai, Chairman of JERA Global Markets, said: “We are pleased to continue our LNG partnership with ADNOC Gas as the JERA Group continuously looks towards strengthening our global LNG portfolio with stable, flexible and competitive LNG supply, which is essential in the energy transition.”

This follows global LNG sales agreements that ADNOC Gas recently signed with several companies, including PetroChina International Company Limited (PCI), Japan Petroleum Exploration Company Limited (JAPEX), TotalEnergies Gas and Power, and India Oil Corporation (IOCL).

Since March 2023, the ADX-listed firm penned LNG supply agreements at an amount between $9.40 billion (AED 34.50 billion ) and $12 billion (AED 44 billion). 

Earlier in October, ADNOC Gas announced a $615 million (AED 2.26 billion)contract for one of the largest carbon capture projects in the MENA region.
