Mubasher: Aamal Medical, a fully–owned subsidiary of Aamal Company, on Monday announced signing an agreement with Simeks Medical, the Turkish leading healthcare company, to supply cutting-edge medical equipment.
Both Sherif Shehata, general manager of Aamal Medical, and Bahar Sunman, member board of Simeks, had signed the agreement in Doha, according to the company’s filing to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
Simeks Medical, the country’s exclusive distributor of ultrasonography, mammography and x-ray, started operation in Turkey in 1999.
“The agreement is evidence of Aamal’s determination to explore new international markets and to create strong relationships with companies which adhere to the same high quality standards,” Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, chairman of Aamal Company, commented on the deal.
The deal comes along with the Qatar’s strategy to achieve medical self-sufficiency, the statement showed.
The Qatar-based company did not give further details concerning the cost of the deal.
As for the full-year 2017, Aamal Company’s profits jumped 8.4% to QAR 500.9 million from QAR 462.3 million a year earlier.
