Muscat: Ahli Bank recently signed a membership agreement with Oman Credit and Financial Information Centre (OCFC) at the bank’s headquarters.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Ahli Bank by Ghada Al Balushi, Chief Risk Officer and Adel bin Khalifa Al Saadi, director general of the centre on behalf of Oman Credit and Financial Information. This agreement will help the bank to access customer data and financial information that in turn will be useful for making credit decisions.
On the occasion of the signing of the agreement, Al Balushi said, “We are delighted to be a member of the Oman Credit and Financial Information Centre. This partnership will enable us to make the right credit decisions for the bank and its customers and use the data effectively. The automated data access system will help to improve our productivity and offer agile and efficient services to our customers.”
The signing ceremony was attended by several officials from Ahli Bank and the OCFC.
Oman Credit and Financial Information Centre is an affiliated Centre of the Central Bank of Oman and was established according to the Royal Decree No. 38/2019. The credit bureau offers the latest information and insights into the credit behaviour of the borrowers. It helps the banks and financial institutions assess their existing and prospective borrowers.
