Cairo – Mubasher: Al Baraka Bank-Egypt inaugurated a new branch in Damietta Governorate to expand its presence in the Delta governorates, according to a press release.
The launch aligns with the lender’s strategy to expand its footprint and meet the needs of its clients in all governorates across the Arab Republic.
The inauguration followed the EGX-listed bank’s latest branch in Ismailia Governorate which was opened in July 2023.
In the first half (H1) of 2023, Al Baraka Bank-Egypt recorded higher net profits attributable to the owners at EGP 1.01 billion, compared to EGP 783.11 million in H1-22.
Net income from funds enlarged to EGP 2.18 billion in H1-23 from EGP 1.60 billion in the year-ago period, while the basic earnings per share (EPS) increased to EGP 1.18 from EGP 0.95.
