Cairo – Mubasher: The consolidated net profits of Al Ezz Dekheila Steel – Alexandria surged by 98% on a yearly basis during the first half (H1) of 2022 to register EGP 4.08 billion, compared to EGP 2.06 billion, including minority shareholders’ rights.
Basic earnings per share (EPS) stood at EGP 208.80 during the January-June period in 2022, compared to EGP 104.97 in the same period in 2021, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.
The company’s sales during the six-month period ended 30 June 2022 reached EGP 34.54 billion, compared with EGP 26.51 billion in the year-ago period.
As for the standalone business, the company logged EGP 3.36 billion in net profits in H1-22, compared to EGP 1.59 billion in H1-21.
During this year’s second quarter (Q2), the company’s profits reached EGP 2.89 billion, up from EGP 1.03 billion in Q2-21.
It is worth noting that in Q1-22, the steel firm generated EGP 1.19 billion in consolidated net profits after tax, an annual growth of nearly 16% from EGP 1.02 billion.
