Doha – Mubasher: Al Khaleej Takaful Group denied news published in a Qatari newspaper about the approval of its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to increase its capital to QAR 195.6 million through distributing 15% bonus shares, at a 1.5-for-10 ratio.
The distribution would boost the company's capital to QAR 254.17 million from QAR 221.02 million, and include the amendment of Article 9 of the company’s statute.
The company assured that its EGM accepted the recommendation of distributing 6% of the capital as cash dividends, equivalent to QAR 60 per share.
Profits retreated 69.37% reaching QAR 13.29 million during 2016 compared to QAR 43.39 million in 2015.
