Mubasher: Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing on Thursday announced winning two tenders, worth a total value of OMR 91 million ($235.5 million).
The first two-year tender is for the supply and delivery of fuel gas oil to Rural Areas Electricity Company (RAECO) and amounts to OMR 73 million. The contract will begin in September, Al Maha said in a filing to the Muscat Securities Market (MSM).
The second tender is for designing, building, operating, and maintaining a new fuel station for the national transport company Mwasalat at its headquarters for 10 years. The project began in May and amounts to OMR 18 million.
The estimated values of the awarded tenders “are likely to be changing based on monthly fuel price notification from [the] Ministry of Oil & Gas,” Al Maha added.
Al Maha last reported OMR 1.69 million in profits for the first quarter of 2017, registering a decline of 17.6% year-on-year.
