Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Co, a company listed on the Muscat Securities Market (MSM), has been awarded a contract for the construction of a fuel depot at the headquarters of Mwasalat — the state-owned public transport services provider.
Al Maha General Manager (Finance), Hamdi El Sayed, said in a filing to the Capital Market Authority (CMA), that the tender for the design, build, operation and maintenance of the fuel station project is worth around RO 18 million.
It was one of two “strategic commercial contracts” secured by the fuel marketing company last week. Separately, Al Maha was awarded a contract to supply fuel gas oil to the Rural Areas Electricity Company (RAECO) — part of Nama Group (formerly The Electricity Holding Company) worth around RO 73 million.
“Estimated tender awarded amount is likely to change based on monthly fuel price notification from the Ministry of Oil & Gas,” El Sayed added.
