Banque du Caire posts higher profits in 9M-24; total assets cross EGP 477.8bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The standalone net profits of Banque du Caire jumped to EGP 8.63 billion in the first nine months (9M) of 2024 from EGP 4.54 billion in 9M-23, according to the financial results.

The EGX-listed lender recorded net interest income valued at EGP 20.05 billion in 9M-24, higher year-on-year (YoY) than EGP 12.41 billion.

Basic earnings per share (EPS) stood at EGP 1.07 as of 30 September 2024, up from EGP 0.91 in 9M-23.

Total assets increased to EGP 477.86 billion in 9M-24 from EGP 401.64 billion as of 31 December 2023, while the customers’ deposits hiked to EGP 347.21 billion from EGP 302.06 billion.

Financials for Q3-24

In the third quarter (Q3) of 2024, the bank registered net profits worth EGP 2.92 billion, an annual rise from EGP 1.94 billion. Net interest income surged to EGP 7.21 billion from EGP 4.44 billion.

During the first half (H1) of 2024, the non-consolidated net profits reached EGP 5.71 billion, compared to EGP 2.59 billion in H1-23.
