Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (BILDCO) on Monday said it incurred losses in the second quarter of 2017.
BILDCO suffered AED 7.4 million ($2 million) in losses in Q2-17 against AED 4.6 million ($1.25 million) in profits during the year-ago period, according to a filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).
Gross sales reached AED 16.3 million in Q2-17 compared to AED 13.7 million in the year-ago period, while the cost of sales amounted to AED 17.83 million, up from AED 15.3 million in the same period last year.
At the level of the first six months of 2017, BILDO suffered AED 30.64 million losses, up from AED 22.32 million in the corresponding period of 2016.
The building materials company had previously reported trimming its losses by 12.6% to AED 23.51 million in Q1-17 from AED 26.89 million in the year-ago period.
