Mubasher: Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) achieved a growth of 83.3% in net profits during the third quarter of 2017 compared to the same period a year ago.
Earnings increased to BHD 2.2 million ($2.8 million) in Q3-17 from BHD 1.2 million ($3.2 million) in Q3-16, according to a bourse statement issued on Tuesday.
During the first nine months of 2017, BisB’s profits declined by 26.2% to BHD 5.4 million from BHD 4.28 million in the same period in the prior year.
The bank’s total income grew to BHD 11.98 million in Q3-17 from BHD 9.84 million in Q3-16, the statement added.
It is worth noting that BisB reported a rise of 6.5% in profits to BHD 3.28 million in the first half of 2017 compared to BHD 3.08 million in the same period a year ago.
