Cairo – Mubasher: The consolidated net profits after tax of Crédit Agricole Egypt hiked by 50.25% year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 2.41 billion in 2022, compared to EGP 1.60 billion.
The interest income amounted to EGP 6.33 billion during January-December 2022, an annual leap of 21.60% from EGP 5.20 billion, according to the financial results.
Meanwhile, the bank’s deposits increased by 25.48% to EGP 60.49 billion in 2022 from EGP 48.20 billion in 2021.
Standalone Financial Results
The EGX-listed lender witnessed an annual surge of 51.91% in standalone net profit after tax to EGP 2.41 billion in the 12-month period that ended on 31 December 2022, versus EGP 1.59 billion.
Non-consolidated interest income jumped by 21.67% YoY to EGP 6.27 billion in 2022 from EGP 5.15 billion, whereas the earnings per share (EPS) enlarged by 50% YoY to EGP 1.74 from EGP 1.16.
Additionally, the deposits widened by 25.46% YoY to EGP 60.49 billion as of 31 December 2022 from EGP 48.21 billion.
In the first nine months (9M) of 2022, Crédit Agricole Egypt logged consolidated net profits after tax worth EGP 1.60 billion, up 35.74% from EGP 1.17 billion in the year-ago period.
