Mubasher: Doha Bank on Sunday announced opening its official representative office in Nepal.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, 19 December, the bank said in a filing to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
Among the officials attending the opening where Qatar’s ambassador to Nepal Yousuf Bin Mohammed Al-Hail, Nepal’s ambassador to Qatar Ramesh Prasad Koirala, as well as “Chintamani Siwakoti, Dy Governor, Nepal Rastra Bank, Mr. Amar Singh- MP, Rajya Sabha and Dr. Jayaprada. Ambassador for tourism and cultural for Nepal,” the bank said.
During a session held after the opening ceremony, Nepal governor Chiranjivi Nepal said that Doha Bank’s representative office would be “the catalyst to greater Qatar-Nepal bilateral cooperation” wand would further help the Nepalese financial system.
“As per policy of government of Nepal, the country will continue to have greater trade and investment liberalisation, To facilitate this flow of funds for financing greater trade and investment liberalization, Nepal Rastra Bank will contribute to ensure financial and payment stability with cognizant of AML /CFT issues,” the top official added.
