EGX ends Tuesday in red

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday's trading session on a negative note. 

The main EGX30 index fell by 0.72% to end at 11,195 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI plunged by 6.7% to 2,481 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI dropped by 4.99% to 3,459 points and the EGX50 EWI went down by 3.88%% to end at 2,236 points.

The market cap value increased by EGP 9.99 billion to close at EGP 733.593 billion.

Local investors were net sellers with EGP 45.85 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 10.93 million and EGP 34.92 million, respectively. 

The market's turnover recorded EGP 1.23 billion after 464.57 million shares were exchanged through nearly 48,900 transactions.
