EGX falls on Tuesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday lower by 0.17% at 12,002.08 points.

The EGX50 EWI went down by 1.18% to 2,129.81 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 1.27% to 2,286.39 points.

EGX100 EWI retreated by 1.05% to 3,342.32 points.

EGX’s trading value reached EGP 985.63 million through the exchange of 297.62 million shares, compared to EGP 959.27 million and 293.39 million shares last session.

The market cap value decreased to EGP 772.65 billion from EGP 775.04 billion on Monday.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 14.64 million and EGP 21.94 million, respectively, while foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 36.58 million.
