Mubasher: Jordan’s Irbid District Electricity Company posted on Thursday a net profit of JOD 2.47 million in the first nine months of 2015.
Profit dropped by 51.44% compared to JOD 5.08 million in the same period last year, according to the company’s financial statements.
The statement showed a cost rise in electricity purchased by the company to JOD 161.51 million in the January-September period this year, compared to JOD 140.89 in the same period last year.
The Amman-listed company earlier reported a net loss of JOD 564,400 in H1-15, versus a profit of JOD 1.45 million in the same period of 2014.
