Cairo – Mubasher: Juhayna Food Industries posted consolidated net profits valued at EGP 1.48 billion in the first half (H1) of 2024, higher by 166% than EGP 556.43 million in H1-23.
Net revenues amounted to EGP 11.47 billion in H1-24, up 69% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 6.80 billion, according to the consolidated financial results.
The earnings per share (EPS) hit EGP 1.57 in the first six months (6M) of 2024, an annual surge from EGP 0.59.
Total assets reached EGP 11.65 billion as of 30 June 2024, versus EGP 8.58 billion at the end of December 2023.
Standalone Results
Juhayna registered standalone net losses worth EGP 4.23 million in H1-24, compared to EGP 2.41 million in the January-June 2023 period. Loss per share widened to EGP 0.004 from EGP 0.003.
Financials for Q2-24
In the second quarter (Q2) of 2024, the consolidated net profit hiked to EGP 1 billion from EGP 217.01 million a year earlier.
The revenues climbed by 70% to EGP 6.03 billion in Q2-24 from EGP 3.55 billion in Q2-23, while the EPS increased to EGP 1.06 from EGP 0.23.
Meanwhile, the company turned to a standalone net loss valued at EGP 3.01 million in Q2-24, against net profits of EGP 203,884 in the year-ago period.
During the January-March 2024 period, Juhayna generated consolidated net profits after tax worth EGP 478.74 million, compared to EGP 339.41 million in Q1-23.
