Cairo – Mubasher: Misr Fertilizers Production Company (Mopco) posted a net profit of EGP 5.97 billion in 2023, an annual surge from EGP 3.83 billion in 2022.
On the other hand, sales dropped to EGP 5.95 billion in the 12-month period that ended on 31 December 2023, versus EGP 6.99 billion a year earlier, according to the annual financial statements.
Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) reached EGP 2.87 last year, up from EGP 1.84 in 2022.
The company’s total assets soared to EGP 54.18 billion at the end of 2023 from EGP 35.98 billion the year before.
“We solemnly declare that the company is preparing ordinary financial statements starting from 31 December 2023 due to the merger of the subsidiary company with MOPCO, and no consolidated financial statements will be prepared in the future,” Mopco said.
During the first nine months of (9M) of 2023, Mopco reported a consolidated net profit of EGP 5.22 billion including minority interest, up from EGP 5.05 billion in the same period a year earlier.
The standalone net profits after tax jumped to EGP 5.15 billion in 9M-2023 from EGP 3.65 billion in the comparative period in 2022.
