Mubasher: Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance (QGRI) announced that it turned a profit for the third quarter of 2018.
Net profits amounted to QAR 16.7 million in Q3-18, against a loss of QAR 4.4 million in Q3-17, according to a filing to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) late Monday.
For the first nine months of 2018, QGRI’s profits surged 100.6% to QAR 70.76 million, compared to QAR 35.28 million in the same period of the prior year.
Earnings per share (EPS) registered QAR 0.81 for the nine-month period ended September, from QAR 0.40 for the same period a year earlier.
It is worth noting that the insurance company achieved a net profit of QAR 54.03 million during the first six months of 2018.
