ACIG obtains regulatory approval for tourist insurance product

Riyadh — Mubasher: Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (ACIG) received final regulatory approval from the Insurance Authority on 10 September 2026 to begin marketing and selling a new insurance product.

The approved offering is a tourist insurance product specifically designed for individual travelers visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

ACIG obtained the formal notification through the Insurance Authority’s digital portal under application number 9727.

The product has been officially registered and approved under the identification code P-ACIG-2-I-26-057.

This regulatory milestone allows the insurer to expand its retail portfolio by targeting the growing tourism sector in the Kingdom. This follows the company's submission to the regulator as part of its efforts to diversify its insurance offerings for individual clients.

The Saudi insurer currently plans to increase its capital from SAR 291 million to SAR 300 million through a share issuance with the suspension of preemptive rights.
