Riyadh – Mubasher: ACWA Power Company has commenced commercial operations at the 500-MW Bash wind power plant in Uzbekistan, according to a bourse disclosure.
ACWA Power, which holds a 65% stake in the project, expects that the financial impact would be reflected in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025.
Last year, ACWA Power joined forces with Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation to develop key renewable energy generation and storage projects in Uzbekistan.
In 2024, the Saudi company logged 5.74% higher net profits at SAR 1.75 billion, versus SAR 1.66 billion in 2023.
