Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has appointed Abdulla Salem Al Nuaimi as its new CEO who brings more than 20 years of financial services experience, according to an announcement on 18 April.
Al Nuaimi is expected to endorse ADX strategy and aspirations to transform the stock exchange to become the investors’ choice in the regional market.
The new CEO of ADX commented: “Abu Dhabi’s capital markets have witnessed significant growth over the past several years. I am honored to have been entrusted to further cement ADX’s position amongst market leaders by delivering on its growth targets and value creation plans.”
As part of his previous role at ADX, Al Nuami helped with the development of the stock market’s trading platform and the creation of the first application of Blockchain technology in the UAE's financial sector.
In 2022, foreign investment on ADX increased by 54% on an annual basis to AED 24 billion. Meanwhile, the number of new institutional investors registered on ADX soared by 12%.
