Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) maintained its early gains at Monday’s closing session, achieving the highest gains in 30 sessions on the back of blue chips especially in the energy and real estate sectors.
The main index advanced 0.89% or 39.81 points to reach 4,512.01 points, hitting the highest level in eight sessions.
Trading volume reached 80.57 million shares on Monday, compared to 114.12 million shares on Sunday. Turnover stood at AED 180.81 million, compared to AED 223.61 million.
The energy sector topped gainers with a 1.79% rise, backed by TAQA and Dana Gas which advanced 2% and 1.75% respectively.
The real estate sector went up 1.6% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties climbed 2.53% and 1.45% respectively. The banks sector also increased 1.10% after First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) grew 2.14% and 0.78% respectively.
The telecom sector rose 0.51% as Etisalat climbed 0.51%.
On the flipside, the services sector fell 0.76% as National Marine Dredging Co. slid 6.9%.
