Riyadh – Mubasher: Acwa Power announced the resignation of non-executive board member Esmail Al Sallom, effective 16 September 2026.
Al Sallom also stepped down from his position on the company's executive committee on the same date.
The company stated that the resignation was driven by personal reasons. Al Sallom had served as a member of the board since his appointment began on 5 January 2025.
The board of directors expressed its appreciation for the efforts and contributions made by Al Sallom during his tenure with the utility developer.
Acwa did not immediately name a replacement for the vacated board seat or the executive committee position.
In the six-month period that ended on 30 June 2026, the Saudi group logged 28.14% lower net profits at SAR 653.17 million, compared to SAR 908.98 million a year earlier.
