Air Arabia includes Maldives in its global network

Dubai – Mubasher: Air Arabia has launched its non-stop flights between Sharjah and the idyllic island of Maldives, according to a press release.

The new flights between Sharjah International Airport and Velana International Airport in Mali will operate daily, starting from 27 October 2024.

Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, commented: "The launch of our non-stop flights to the Maldives highlights our commitment to offering our customers more travel options and connecting them to some of the world's most breathtaking locations."

He added: "This addition to our route network from Sharjah reaffirms our commitment to providing seamless connectivity and value-driven air travel to our passengers."

The DFM-listed company recently introduced a new route connecting Sharjah and Vienna, the capital of Austria, expanding its European network.

In the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, Air Arabia posted 22% lower net profits at AED 266 million, compared to AED 342 million as of 31 March 2023.
