Cairo – Mubasher: Al Ahly FC has appointed UAE’s Palms Sports, a subsidiary of International Holding Company (IHC), as the official operator of the El-Qalaa El-Hamraa mega sports complex project.
This partnership is set to enhance the value of Palms Sports' brand and expand its influence in the international sports management arena, according to a press release.
The selection of Palms Sports was announced on 4 June 2024 in an event attended by a wide group of Egypt’s sports key figures, ministers, and official dignitaries.
El Qalaa El Hamraa Mega Sports Complex project is developed and constructed by a collaboration of 16 international companies and entities.
Fouad Darwish, CEO of Palms Sports, said: “We are firmly committed to making El-Qalaa El-Hamraa a beacon of sporting excellence, and will dedicate all our resources, knowledge, experience, and expertise for the sake of creating and implementing a world-class operational model following the latest international best practices.”
In the context of its ongoing expansion, Palm Sports acquired 80% of a musculoskeletal and sports injury treatment and rehabilitation clinic in May 2024.
