Al Babtain Food witnesses lower profits in H1-26 despite 4% revenue growth

Riyadh — Mubasher: Abdulaziz and Mansour Ibrahim Albabtin Company (Al Babtain Food) a net profit of SAR 2.60 million in the first half (H1) of 2026, representing a 29.73% decrease from the SAR 3.70 million recorded in H1-25.

Earnings per share (EPS) fell to SAR 0.77 in H1-26 from SAR 1.09 a year earlier, according to the income statements.

The decline in profitability occurred despite a 4.26% rise in total revenue, which reached SAR 137.20 million in H1-26 compared to SAR 131.60 million in the prior-year period.

Al Babtain Food attributed the top-line growth to expansion within the cheese and meat sectors and new supply contracts.

However, the bottom line was pressured by an increase in the cost of sales relative to revenue, which rose from 80.9% in H1-25 to 83.8% in H1-26.

The company also cited higher selling, marketing, general and administrative expenses, alongside increased financing costs, as direct factors for the lower net profit.

Total shareholders' equity stood at SAR 75.10 million, rising by 7.90% from SAR 69.60 million in H1-25.

Meanwhile, the auditor issued an unmodified opinion on the financial statements.
