Mubasher: Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance (AKHI) on Sunday reported a 589.8% year-on-year surge in profits for the third quarter of 2018.
Net profits amounted to QAR 1.29 million in Q3-17, compared to QAR 187,000 in Q3-17, according to the company’s statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
For the first nine months of 2018, AKHI’s profits declined 45.6% at QAR 9.05 million, from QAR 16.63 million in the same period of the prior year.
Earnings per share (EPS) recorded QAR 0.35 for the nine-month period ended September, versus QAR 0.65 for the same period a year earlier.
By the end of Sunday’s session, AKHI’s stock rose 1.78% at QAR 9.16.
