Mubasher: Khalid Al Rumaihi, Chairman of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), highlighted that Saudi Arabia’s resources are enormous, especially in gold and copper.
On the slides of the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024, which is being held at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay on 3-4 November, Al Rumaihi also highlighted the Kingdom’s potential in entering manufacturing.
He stressed that Saudi Arabia has the vision and capabilities to consider manufacturing electric cars as well as components.
During the two-day event, Alba entered into a strategic partnership with Daiki Aluminium Industry Company to form a joint venture (JV) under the name Alba-Daiki Sustainable Solutions (ADSS).
Last month, Alba appointed consultants to supervise the due diligence and provide advice, as part of its talks to merge with Tadawul-listed Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden).
