Arabian Business: Aldar Properties has announced that the families of students enrolled at Aldar Academis and Cranleigh Abu Dhabi will be able to avail of a 20 percent reduction in school fees and catering and transportation refunds as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the company has announced.
As part of the initiative, families will also have the option to pay the remainder of term 3 fees in instalments in the four-month period before the start of the next academic year in September 2020.
Those who have already made the payment of term 3 fees, however, will be credited the 20 percent discount against term 1 fees for 2020-2021.
Additionally, families also have the option of a 0 percent interest monthly payment plan for school fees in the 2020-2021 academic year.
Aldar Education is also making a AED 10 million investment in technology and infrastructure to bolster its distance learning programmes, as well as cover devices that were purchased and distributed to families who did not have the equipment necessary for their children’s remote learning needs.
“We promised, at the beginning of these difficult circumstances, that we will face them together,” Aldar CEO Talal Al Dhiyebi said. “Everyone in the Aldar family is working tirelessly to explore methods that can help ease the burger on our people, customers, partners and the wider community.”
Around the country, a number of education providers have announced similar moves to ease the burden on parents during the pandemic.
Earlier this week, for example, Taaleem discounts of up to 25 percent on fees for its third term, while English College Dubai revealed that fees for term three will be reduced by AED2,250 from FS1 through to Year 2; while there will be a AED1,750 reduction for Years 3 to 13.
