Mubasher: First Investment on Sunday revealed that Alghanim Industries had acquired 7.245 million of its shares during Thursday’s trading session.
The purchase was carried out through Alghanim Industries’ representative Badr Mohammed Al Qatan who doubles as First Investment’s chairman, First Investment said in a filing to Boursa Kuwait.
The acquisition was done at 40 fils per share, bringing the total value of the transaction to KWD 290,000.
First Investment’s stock closed Sunday’s trading session in the red, falling 1.53% to 38.7 fils per share after 1.43 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of KWD 55,410.
It is worth noting that Al Khair National for Stocks and Real Estate Co holds 13.8% in First Investment, while Salem Abdullah Salem Al Hosani and Fahad Salem El Homady hold 9.03% and 8.63%, respectively, making the top shareholders in the company.
