Riyadh – Mubasher: Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company generated a net profit before Zakat of SAR 15.88 million during the first half (H1) of 2022, up 0.79% from SAR 15.76 million in the same period a year earlier.
Profit per share amounted to SAR 0.26 in H1-22, compared with SAR 0.35 in H1-21, according to a stock exchange statement on Monday.
Net written premiums (NWPs) surged by 44.76% yearly in the January-June period in 2022 to reach SAR 55.21 million from SAR 38.14 million.
During this year’s second quarter (Q2), the Tadawul-listed insurer’s net profit before Zakat skyrocketed by 263.02% on an annual basis to SAR 6.44 million from SAR 1.77 million.
In the meantime, NWPs stood at SAR 32.34 million in Q2-22, an increase of 26.82% when compared to SAR 25.50 million in Q2-21.
During the first three months (3M) of 2022, the company reported a 32.45% annual decrease in net profits before Zakat to SAR 9.44 million from SAR 13.98 million.
