Alnaqbi: Khazna done exploring, ready to start operations in Kingdom

Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: Abu Dhabi's Khazna Data Centres, one of the industry's largest operators in the Middle East, announced the launching of 100-megawatt data centre in Ajman.

On the sidelines of GITEX GLOBAL 2024, Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna told Asharq Business that the 100-megawatt AI-ready data center, set to be the largest in the company's portfolio by next year, will feature advanced liquid-to-liquid cooling technology for AI infrastructure.

Having a 24 data centers in UAE only, 7 new ones under constructions, Alnaqbi highlighted Khazna's role in advancing AI innovation in the country by supporting digital transformation and providing state-of-the-art data centers.

Alnaqbi added that Khazna is now beyond exploration phase in Saudi Arabia as the company already obtained commercial licenses and lands to start construction of data centers later on.

Khazna also has a project to build a 25MW facility which will be Egypt’s first hyperscale data center, working with local partner, Benya Group of Cairo.

He also emphasized Khazna's competitive advantage through its investment in talent and its affiliation with G42, which gives access to cutting-edge AI advancements and global partnerships, setting it apart from competitors.

Addressing energy concerns, he mentioned that Khazna’s facilities are LEED Gold certified, zero-waste certified, and use biofuel instead of diesel.
