Riyadh – Mubasher: Al Masane Al Kobra Mining Company (Amak) ended the contract of Christopher Gerard Warwick, the Acting CEO of AMAK.
The board members named Nihat Soyer as an Acting CEO of Amak on 4 July 2024, according to a bourse disclosure.
Soyer is a Mining Engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry, covering many areas of underground mine operations in many countries, such as Turkey, Albania, Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey and a master’s degree from the same university.
The new official joined AMAK as Project Manager in 2018, and before that, he worked on different projects for international and Turkish companies for more than 25 years.
In the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, the company’s net profits declined by 53.96% to SAR 15.12 million from SAR 32.85 million.
