Aqaseem shifts to net losses in H1-26

Riyadh — Mubasher: Aqaseem Factory for Chemicals and Plastics Company suffered net losses valued at SAR 1.06 million in the first half (H1) of 2026, compared to a net profit of SAR 1.93 million in H1-25.

Loss per share hit SAR 0.04 at the end of June 2026, against an earnings per share (EPS) of SAR 0.08 a year earlier.

The downturn occurred despite a significant 33.35% increase in revenues, which rose to SAR 75.01 million from SAR 56.25 million.

Management attributed the sales growth to the opening of new markets, the launch of a new packaging sector, and a strategic focus on wholesale distribution.

However, the bottom line was impacted by regional geopolitical conditions that drove up the cost of raw materials and essential production inputs.

Additionally, the company noted that increased financing costs contributed to the loss. Finance costs rose to SAR 4.07 million compared to SAR 1.42 million in the prior-year period.

Total shareholders' equity decreased by 2.18% to SAR 48.82 million, while total assets were recorded at SAR 155.56 million as of 30 June 2026.
