Riyadh – Mubasher: Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Company logged net profits after Zakat worth SAR 2.83 million for the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, compared to a net loss of SAR 29.91 million in Q2-25.
The company’s insurance revenue for the quarter reached SAR 403.27 million, representing a 12.52% decline from SAR 460.99 million in the corresponding period of 2025.
Management attributed the revenue decrease to a drop in group protection and savings insurance.
Despite lower revenues, the bottom line was supported by a 40% reduction in insurance service expenses, which fell by SAR 218.30 million, and a 19.56% increase in net investment income to SAR 18.39 million.
For the first six months (6M) of 2026, the insurer posted a net profit of SAR 7.73 million, compared to a net loss of SAR 23.46 million in H1-25.
Earnings per share (EPS) stood at SAR 0.10, improving from a loss per share of SAR 0.29.
Total shareholders' equity as of 30 June 2026 was reported at SAR 1.64 billion, a slight increase of 0.51% from the previous year.
In Q1-26, the company’s net profits after Zakat dropped by 24.09% to SAR 4.89 million from SAR 6.45 million during the same period in 2025.
