Bahrain-Mubasher: Bank of Khartoum is expected to commence its operations in Bahrain during the first quarter of 2016, said CEO Fadi Al Faqih.
The Sudanese lender had obtained a license from Bahrain's central bank to open a branch offering Islamic services in the kingdom.
On the sidelines of the World Islamic Banking Conference 2015, held recently in Bahrain, Al Faqih said the bank is currently completing the relevant legal and regulatory procedures to launch its Bahraini branch.
Nabeel Al Tattan, CEO of BOK International, said the new arm will focus on trade finance and treasury as well as boosting deposits and lending.
