Bin Musa: SMSA connects Saudi firms in Africa with its logistics hubs

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Majid Bin Musa, Managing Director of SMSA Express, stated that the volume of commercial exchange between Saudi Arabia and South Africa currently amounts to $4 billion, stressing that SMSA Express plays a vital role in connecting other Saudi firms with its logistics hub inside the Kingdom.

Among these companies are Saudi Aramco and ACWA Power which have multi-billion investments inside the African country, according to Asharq Business.

SMSA Express is a market leader in the courier industry. It boasts a solid business platform through which it has provided services to tens of thousands of businesses and individuals since 1994.

SMSA earlier inaugurated its regional headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa in an initiative to provide integrated logistics solutions that support the business sector and enhance trade exchange.

This shall offer companies in the African continent the opportunity to benefit from the Kingdom’s transformation into a global logistics hub connecting Africa, Asia, and Europe, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

Bin Musa added that the Kingdom witnessed a huge leap in E-commerce thanks to the significant improvement of its infrastructure that contributed to positioning Saudi Arabia as a regional logistics hub linking the 3 continents together.

It is worth noting that since SMSA commenced its operations in 1994, it has continuously expanded its range of services to include international and domestic express transportation, air, sea, and land freight, customs clearance, e-commerce solutions, specialized healthcare services, dedicated delivery channels, mailroom management, and many other services.
