Riyadh - Mubasher: Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Company has received final regulatory approval from the Insurance Authority to market and sell a new mandatory insurance product.
The product, titled "Tourist Insurance," is designed for individual customers within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The company received the formal notification, identified as letter number 9294, on 21 September 2026. This follows an earlier correspondence regarding the product dated 25 June 2026.
The approved insurance offering has been assigned the specific identification number P-BUPA-2-I-26-015.
This regulatory milestone allows the insurer to expand its portfolio of mandatory coverage options. The approval signifies the completion of the necessary technical and administrative requirements set by the national insurance regulator for this specific individual-tier product.
Bupa Arabia did not disclose the expected financial impact of the new product launch in its regulatory filing.
At the end of June 2026, the company registered net profits amounting to SAR 694.08 million, while insurance revenues hit SAR 10.54 billion.
