Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Burjeel Holdings has awarded Oracle Health a contract valued at AED 125 million, according to a press release.
The ADX-listed group will leverage Oracle Health’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solution, enabling the integration of the former’s clinical ecosystem across its network of healthcare assets.
Burjeel’s board agreed to award the service contract to Oracle Health in order to establish the omnichannel and integrated EMR platform.
The strategic agreement aligns with Burjeel’s commitment to providing efficient, accessible, and affordable healthcare across the MENA region.
Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, said: “Collaborating with Oracle Health and bringing this new technology to our operations will offer caregivers a simplified yet comprehensive view of patient data to better inform care decisions and improve health outcomes.”
Vayalil added: “The patient experience across our healthcare ecosystem will be streamlined, with less waiting time and more patient face-time with clinicians.”
The tools will enable the group to integrate its growing portfolio across MENA, as it pursues its capital expenditures (CapEx)-lite approach to network expansion.
Akram Sami Dhaini, Vice President and Managing Director of Oracle Health for MEA, commented: “Together, we can help Burjeel scale technology to meet its future needs, enhance operational and financial efficiency, and elevate the patient experience and engagement.”
Burjeel’s updated EMR system and an integrated solution will be deployed across the group through a structured three-year rollout programme. It will be launched across Burjeel Medical City and Burjeel Day Care Surgery Center during the pilot phase.
In the first half (H1) of 2023, Burjeel Holdings recorded 47% year-on-year (YoY) higher net profits attributable to the shareholders at AED 213.68 million, compared to AED 143.30 million.
