Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) valued at EGP 40 billion through two tranches on Sunday, 28 May.
The first issue stood at EGP 22.50 billion and will mature in 91 days on 29 August 2023, according to official data.
Meanwhile, the second offering was valued at EGP 17.50 billion, holding a tenor of 273 days until 27 February 2024.
On 21 May, the CBE announced T-bills at a combined value of EGP 40 billion through two issues.
