Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 42 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 24 August.
The first issue stood at EGP 18.50 billion, with an 182-day tenor until 27 February 2024, according to official data.
Holding a maturity period of 364 days until 27 August next year, the second tranche was valued at EGP 23.50 billion.
Earlier this week, the financial authority unveiled T-bills worth EGP 40 billion through two auctions.
