Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 10.50 billion through two auctions on Monday, 27 January 2025.
The first tranche stood at EGP 2.50 billion and will mature in two years on 4 February 2027, according to official data.
With a tenor of three years until 4 February 2028, the second offering was valued at EGP 8 billion.
Moreover, the CBE offered floating-rate T-bonds at a combined value of EGP 3.50 billion through two issues.
The first auction carries a three-maturity period until 14 January 2028, while the second offering holds a tenor of five years until 7 January 2030.
The two offerings were valued at EGP 2 billion and EGP 1.50 billion, respectively.
A week ago, the central bank announced debt instruments at an aggregated value of EGP 14.50 billion.
