Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 17 billion through two issues on Monday, 2 December.
The first tranche stood at EGP 5 billion and will mature in two years on 1 October 2026, according to official data.
Meanwhile, the second issue was valued at EGP 12 billion, holding a tenor of three years until 3 December 2027.
The CBE also auctioned floating-rate T-bonds worth EGP 2 billion through one issue, which carries a maturity period of five years until 1 October 2029.
Last week, the financial authority announced T-bonds and floating-rate note at a total value of EGP 8 billion.
