CBE auctions T-bills worth EGP 52bn on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 52 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 21 November 2024.

Holding a tenor of 182 days until 27 May 2025, the first tranche stood at EGP 42 billion, according to official data.

The second issue was valued at EGP 10 billion and will mature in 364 days on 25 November next year.

Earlier this week, on 17 November, the CBE offered T-bills worth EGP 72 billion through two issues.
