Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 4.50 billion through two offerings on Monday, 26 September.
The first tranche stood at EGP 500 million, holding a seven-year tenor until 5 July 2029, according to official data.
The second issue was valued at EGP 4 billion and will mature in three years on 6 September 2025.
Furthermore, the CBE offered zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7 billion through one auction, which will mature in 1.5 years on 26 March 2024.
Last week, the central bank auctioned T-bonds at a total value of EGP 4 billion through two issues and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7.50 billion through one offering.
