Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) worth EGP 40 billion through two offerings on Tuesday, 4 July, according to official data.
The first issue was valued at EGP 22.50 billion, holding a tenor of 91 days until 3 October 2023.
Meanwhile, the second tranche stood at EGP 17.50 billion and will mature in 273 days on 2 April 2024.
Ahead of the Eid el-Adha holiday, on 26 June, the CBE auctioned debt instruments at a combined value of EGP 46 billion over three tranches.
