CBE issues T-bills worth EGP 60bn on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 60 billion in two tranches on Sunday, 3 November 2024.

Holding a tenor of 91 days until 4 February 2025, the first issue stood at EGP 35 billion, according to official data.

The second offering was valued at EGP 25 billion and will mature in 273 days on 5 August next year.

Last week, on 31 October, the CBE unveiled T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 60 billion through two issues.
