Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 3.75 billion through two issues on Monday, 31 July 2023.
With a three-year tenor until 11 July 2026, the first tranche stood at EGP 3.50 billion, according to official data.
Meanwhile, the second offering was valued at EGP 250 million. The semi-annual coupon will mature in five years on 13 October 2027.
Last week, the financial authority issued debt instruments at a total value of EGP 40.25 billion over three offerings.
